What this area is like
Ishinomaki has the Ishinomori Manga Museum and memorial parks for the 2011 tsunami. Kesennuma is a working fishing port, linked by bridge to Oshima island.

Ishinomaki is about an hour from Sendai by JR. A car makes the coast much easier.
