What this area is like
APPI Kogen is one of Tohoku’s largest ski resorts. In the green season, the Hachimantai Aspite Line climbs to marshes and summit trails, with hot springs such as Matsukawa Onsen below.

The Aspite Line is closed in winter, roughly November to April. Buses run from Morioka.
