What this area is like
At the Yamaga Lantern Festival in August, women dance with golden paper lanterns on their heads, and Yachiyo-za is a working Meiji-era theatre. Kikuchi Gorge is a cool forest stream, and Tamana and Kikuchi have hot springs.
