How to plan your time here
- Onomichi is the start of the Shimanami Kaido, a cycling route over bridges to Shikoku. Rent a bike near the station and ride as far as the first island or two for a taste.
- From Hiroshima, take the Shinkansen to Fukuyama or Shin-Onomichi, or the JR San’yo Line directly. Combine a morning on the hill with Onomichi ramen for lunch.
