Nasu Kogen is a highland resort with farms, animal parks and the Nasu Ropeway up Mount Chausu. Nasu Yumoto Onsen has the legendary Sessho-seki rock, and quiet Itamuro Onsen by the Naka River has long been known as a healing spring.

Buses run from Nasushiobara and Kuroiso stations, but a car makes the farms and parks easier to reach.
