What this area is like
Kuonji in Minobu is the head temple of Nichiren Buddhism, with a famous weeping cherry and a ropeway up Mount Minobu. Shimobe Onsen is said to be Takeda Shingen’s hidden hot spring, and Nishiyama Onsen Keiunkan in Hayakawa is recognised as the world’s oldest hotel.
