Iga is the home of the Iga ninja: the Iga-ryu Ninja Museum shows hidden doors and tools, with live shows, beside Iga Ueno Castle. It is also the birthplace of the poet Basho, and the Akame 48 Waterfalls trail in Nabari is said to have been a ninja training ground.
